RuneScape 3

Getting started

From signing in to your first script running, in 8 steps.
  1. Step 1 of 8

    Sign in with Discord

It's the only account you need: the same sign-in works on this site, in the client and for both games. There is no password to make.

  2. Step 2 of 8

    Install Java 25

The RuneScape 3 launcher needs Java 25. Download the Temurin JDK 25 installer for Windows and run it before you open the launcher.

  3. Step 3 of 8

    Download the launcher

It comes as a zip: extract the whole folder, then run project-x-launcher.exe from inside it. The launcher runs the official RuneScape client and loads our scripting engine into it. Sign in to it with your Jagex account.

  4. Step 4 of 8

Sign in with Discord in the launcher's Store tab

That's how the launcher knows which scripts you have. The free community scripts come as one package: open the Plugins tab, install Community Scripts and turn on Keep updated.

  5. Step 5 of 8

Free scripts work straight away. Top up for paid ones

Free scripts need no X Tokens. For paid scripts, top up X Tokens by card or crypto. One X Token is $1, and tokens never expire.

  6. Step 6 of 8

Browse the store and try a script free for 60 minutes

Every paid script has a free 60-minute trial, one per script every 7 days. Install the script from the launcher's Store tab first, which doesn't start the hour. The hour starts once Project X is loaded in the game.

  7. Step 7 of 8

Get access for 1 week, 2 weeks or 1 month

Pick a length on the script's page. Nothing renews by itself and no card is kept on file. Buy again before it ends and the time is added on top, 10% cheaper.

  8. Step 8 of 8

Launch the game: your script is in the in-game overlay

Once Project X is loaded, the script is in the script list in the overlay, where you start and set it up. If you added it while the game was open, reload the scripts in the panel.

Ready when you are

Free scripts cost nothing, and paid ones have a free 60-minute trial, so you can see a script work before you spend a token.
