Publishing

Publishing is done on the developer portal, which explains pricing, review and payouts where you need them. This page is the checklist to run through before you get there.

Before you upload

  • Built against the current client: projectxClientVersion is the latest release.
  • version in your @PluginDescriptor is new. Each version can be uploaded once.
  • minClientVersion is the plugin API level of the newest thing you use, and isExternal = true.
  • The jar is named after your plugin class (pluginName in the template's gradle.properties), and that name is free in the live catalogue.
  • You have the source zip. In the template, ./gradlew build makes it next to the jar.

Submitting

Sign in on the developer portal and choose Submit a script. You fill in the store listing, upload the jar and the source zip, and set a price for each of the three lengths. The internal name you give must be your plugin class's simple name; it joins purchases to what the client loads, so it can never change.

A reviewer reads the source before anything reaches the store, so a jar without the readable source it was built from is rejected. Once approved, the script is listed on the store, and you keep 70% of every sale.

Updates

From the portal, open your script and choose Upload new version. Each version is reviewed in the same way; until it is approved, players keep getting the live one. Rebuild and upload when a client release changes ids your script relies on, even if your own code has not changed.
